Logistics

Subject-matter

Logistics is the planning, organisation, control, execution and monitoring of the flow of material, goods, money, information and persons. By its nature, logistics plays an important part in economics and in business management, and also in engineering. For example, logistics is an important instrument, for minimising costs of materials, production, storage, transport and personnel. This goal is served inter alia by the automation of processes and the optimised choice of routes and modes of transport.
